Software Sales Specialist
As a Software Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for growing the business within your assigned territory through sale of products/services to new customers as well as maintenance of an existing base of customers. You will be responsible for forecasting, and executing a professional selling process. This process will include an ability to clearly communicate features and benefits of products/services as well as strategic value propositions with each prospect. In addition, you will passionately represent our company, solutions and success to all prospects, customers, and partners. You will have the support of a group of Application Consultants who will be able to assist you in pre and post sales support. You will also attend trade shows and seminars.
The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
- BS or MS in a Life Science or Computer Science discipline.
- Extensive experience in Molecular Biology with experience with microarray technology specially with the use of software tools is a major plus.
- Commercial acumen demonstrated by previous sales experience and interest in a career in sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate highly technical information with both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Strong self motivation and personal organization skills. Ability to organize your time and efforts to maximize results.
- Team player with an ability to work well individually as well as in a highly matrixed environment.
- Ability to travel as required by the position (less than 15%)
