NCI has Acquired a Site-License for BioDiscovery’s Nexus Copy Number Software
March 6, 2008
El Segundo, CA - BioDiscovery Inc., the leading developer of integrated software solutions for microarray-based research announced today that the National Cancer Institute has obtained a site-license for Nexus Copy Number, a powerful tool for analysis and visualization of chromosomal aberrations from microarray data.
“We are delighted to see that so many scientists at the NCI are taking advantage of Nexus Copy Number to truly accelerate the rate of their discoveries in the fight against cancer” said Dr. Soheil Shams, President of BioDiscovery. “Nexus Copy Number has allowed NCI scientists to easily integrate large amounts of copy number data from different array platforms to identify significant chromosomal changes in various cancers. We are looking forward to a number of publications resulting from these projects.”
Nexus Copy Number can integrate data from thousands of arrays along with their clinical annotations in a single project. It supports various array platforms and associated software including Agilent, Affymetrix, Illumina, GenePix, BlueFuse, ImaGene, Nimblegen, Empire Genomics as well as custom data files. External data such as expression and miRNA can also be integrated furnishing researchers with a comprehensive tool that provides gain and loss frequency information, class comparison analysis, frequency-based clustering, and gene enrichment analysis. Not only does it provide results on a set of array data, but it also provides statistical data and reports on individual samples. With its flexibility, scalability, ease of use, and rich graphical and numerical outputs, Nexus Copy Number is an integral software solution to a researcher’s copy number analysis projects.
